A Green Business Program, Activities of the Bike Task Force & Health Commission projects for 2018
Mary Cunningham is a life long Chicagoland resident who is currently enjoying a second career as a perennial plant buyer for Lurvey Garden Center. Mary is a member of the Park Ridge Community Health Commission and is very interested in all things "green", especially sustainable landscaping.
Melissa Hulting since moving to Park Ridge in 2013, has become a member of the Community Health Commission and the Park Ridge Bike Task Force. She works at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency on energy efficiency, air quality, and climate change issues. Melissa is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Tim Milburn has over 35 years of technical and commercial experience in energy and environmentally-related fields. He has been active as a business leader and practicing engineer in projects related to waste-to-energy, biofuels, materials recovery and recycling, alternative fuels for transportation and energy efficiency. He owns and operates an environmental energy/consulting and technology solutions company, Green Ways 2Go, based in Park Ridge, focusing on green solutions in power and transportation. Tim is the Co-Chair of the Northwest Cook County Sierra Club, a member of the US DOE's Chicago Area Clean Cities Steering Team, Park Ridge Community Health Commission, Go Green Park Ridge, Illinois Solar Energy Association and represents Park Ridge on the Metropolitan Mayor's Caucus Environmental Committee.
Tricia Williams has lived in Park Ridge for 17 years and has been an active volunteer in many areas. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Park Ridge Community Health Commission. She has a bachelor degree in nursing and has also worked in the field of prevention of adolescent drug and alcohol use.
