Guest speaker: Dr. Ken Wallace, Superintendent
of Maine Township High School District 207
“Moving Maine Forward: Schools to Amplify 21st Century Learning”
Hear Dr. Ken Wallace, Superintendent of Maine Township High School District 207, explain how a plan to update facilities at Maine South, East and West will improve the learning environment for our community’s high school students and, at the same time, improve student and staff security and preserve the valuable community assets that are our schools.
Dr. Ken Wallace is the 2017 Illinois and 2018 National Association of Career and Technical Education Champion of the Year. He is President of the Suburban Superintendents’ Association. Under Ken’s leadership, District 207 became Google’s first K-12 partner and recently was selected by the Successful Practices Network as one of only 25 U.S. school districts to be included in a study of innovative practices in America’s public schools, In addition, District 207 was awarded a 2015 Center for Digital Education International Award, and in 2016 was named one of America’s 14 most innovative districts by Tech Insider.
